Take Your Walk to the Desert - Spur Cross
Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area
November 23 Monday 9:00 am Take Your Walk to the Desert (easy) An innovative, fun, easy 1.5 hr walking experience for health, camaraderie, and the desert’s serenity. This is designed for people who want to begin trekking in the desert at an easy pace. Bring sturdy shoes, plenty of water, and a hat. This activity will be led by park docents Coni Grossman and/or Tammy Teegardin.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the General Public that the Board of Supervisors, and/or the above referenced Board of Directors, will hold a meeting at the County Complex on the below listed date and time.

The Board of Supervisors and/or the above referenced Boards of Directors may vote to recess into an executive session for the purpose of obtaining legal advice from the Board’s attorney on any matter listed on an agenda pursuant to ARS §38-431.03(A)(3), or for any other matter authorized under ARS §38-431.03, which has been specifically listed on the meeting agenda identifying the statutory basis for executive session consideration.

Topics Covered: •Who’s making solar happen in AZ and how •The political scene around solar in AZ •Current options for financing solar •Where we go from here Speakers: Michael Neary hasbeen involved in the Arizona’s solar industry since the early 1980’s and became founder of Desert Sun Solar, Inc. in 1986. In the mid 1990’s he transitioned his company to a solar consulting firm to create positive public policy towards solar and renewable energy. Mr. Neary is currently the President of Arizona Solar Energies Industries Association (AriSEIA) where he has led the solar industry’s legislative initiatives in Arizona and was instrumental in the passage of the Arizona residential solar tax and commercial tax credits. Tom Alston is the Manager of Policy and Business Development for American Solar Electric. He is the elected Arizona Lead for the Solar Alliance as well as the Vice President of AriSEIA. In these roles, Mr. Alston serves as one of the principal advocates for solar energy in the state, and works extensively with the state legislature, Arizona Corporation Commission and members of the Arizona Congressional Delegation. Lee Feliciano is Executive Vice-President of CarbonFree Technology, a solar energy project developer with offices in the U.S. and Canada. Since 2004, he has worked in the solar PV industry in installation, inspection, sales and marketing roles. In 2007, Mr. Feliciano formed a company called SolEquity, Inc. and was responsible for co-developing (with CarbonFree) the first commercial solar installations in Arizona that were enabled through a Solar Services Agreement (SSA).
