Get Ready for the Turkey Fitness Hike - Cave Creek Park
Cave Creek Regional Park
Let’s get ready to eat! Here at the park we feel a bit better if we lose those few pounds before we put them back on around the holidays. We will enjoy the amazing views of Cave Creek Regional Park while we keep our legs moving and our hearts pumping on this moderate 3.5 mile hike. Along the way you will get to know some other hikers and receive some great tips on general fitness and hiking gear from Ranger Jim. Remember, always bring plenty of water and wear sturdy shoes or boots. *This hike will be every Thursday in October to help you get into a routine.

NOTICE OF COMBINED PUBLIC MEETING AND EXECUTIVE SESSION OF THE MARICOPA COUNTY AIR POLLUTION HEARING BOARD

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the Maricopa County Air Pollution Hearing Board (Board) and to the general public that the Board will hold a meeting open to the public on Thursday, November 12, 2009, at 11:00 am. The meeting will be held at the offices of the Maricopa County Air Quality Department at 1001 N. Central Avenue, Suite 900, Phoenix, AZ 85004. The meeting will be in the Ninth Floor Conference Room. As indicated in the agenda, pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A), the Board may vote to go into executive session, which will not be open to the public, to discuss certain matters.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:
1. Approval of the minutes of the meetings of October 21, 2009 and October 27, 2009.
2. Discussion and possible action on the motion by Zinke Dairy, Inc. to consolidate its requests for hearing on Orders of Abatement Nos. 2009-000 (MCAPHB2009-002-OA) and 2009-001 (MCAPHB2009-003-OA) into a single proceeding, to be conducted on the hearing date scheduled for November 19 and 20, 2009. The Board may vote to discuss this matter with the Board's attorney in executive session pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(3). The Board may decide the matter in the public meeting or defer decision to a later date.
3. Discussion and possible action on authorization of the Chair to act on behalf of the Board on procedural motions in the Zinke Dairy request for hearing (MCAPHB2009-002-OA & MCAPHB2009-003-OA), subject to reconsideration by the full Board during the hearing. The Board may vote to discuss this matter with the Board's attorney in executive session pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(3). The Board may decide the matter in the public meeting or defer decision to a later date.

In conjunction with the GreenBuild Conference and Expo, Green Street Scottsdale will celebrate the city's sustainability efforts as free events kicks off with a special ArtWalk in the Scottsdale Arts District at 7 p.m. along Main Street and Marshall Way with live Latin Jazz musicians, organic beer tastings, eco-friendly public art installations and interactive exhibits.
