11th Annual Bike to Work Day & BFIT Event
Wednesday, April 20, 2016
Bike to Work
Pre-registration for the Bike to Work Day event is required for breakfast and to be eligible to win* any prize drawings.

Pre-register by April 15th using this online form.

Please join Maricopa County and the City of Phoenix in the 11th Annual Bike to Work Day event. County and city elected officials will host a three-mile bicycle ride and light breakfast in downtown Phoenix with the goal of inspiring citizens to increase their fitness and decrease pollution. Everyone is welcome to join the ride regardless of their bicycle-riding experience and fitness level.

Participants may choose to bicycle with a large police-escorted group from Park Central Mall to CityScape or simply ride directly to CityScape. Park Central Mall is located at 3100 N. Central Ave. in mid-town Phoenix. CityScape is located at 1 E. Washington St.

This is a "green" event so all bicyclists are encouraged to bring their own water bottles. Water for refilling bottles will be available at Park Central and CityScape, no disposable bottles will be provided.

Participants who pre-register will receive a t-shirt and are eligible to enter a drawing for exciting prizes. Registered participants are also invited to enjoy a light breakfast. Bicycle racks will be provided at CityScape for guests to park and lock their bikes while they enjoy their breakfast. While supplies last, free KIND bars will be available to all other "Bike to Work Day" guests visiting CityScape.

Maricopa County and the City of Phoenix are challenging public and private agencies to compete for the highest number of registered participants. The City of Phoenix is proud to support Bike to Work Day to raise the profile of bicycling as a healthy and fun alternative to the car; and encourages city staff to make plans to participate. The first, second, and third place agencies will receive an award for their achievements.

Everyone is invited to visit CityScape to hear speakers, cheer on the riders, and support the bicycle community. Community volunteers will be on hand to promote health, fitness, safety, bicycle commuting, clean air, and more!

* Must be present to win

Due to the high number of Bike to Work events throughout the Valley, we expect that we will run out of t-shirts on Wednesday, April 20. T-shirts will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Come out and join us. Cheer on the bicycle riders and check out the cool bikes. Be inspired to ride!
