Quit Tobacco Program
This six-week program is provided in a group class setting at the worksite and is available to county employees
and their covered dependents enrolled in either the Co-insurance or Consumer
Choice Walgreens Health Initiatives Pharmacy benefit. Employees and their
covered dependents enrolled in the Choice Fund medical plan are eligible to
participate in the classes, but are not eligible to receive tobacco cessation
products. Participants receive education from a county Tobacco Cessation Specialist, step-by-step quitting advice, tips on how to manage weight gain, stress and withdrawal symptoms, support from other employees who are ready to change their behavior, and up to a maximum of $500 per plan year for tobacco cessation products.

Healthful Living Smoke Free Program
This six-month individual telephonic health coaching program
is available to county employees and their covered dependents over the age of 18
enrolled in either the Co-insurance or Consumer Choice Walgreens Health
Initiatives Pharmacy benefit. Employees and their covered dependents enrolled in
the Choice Fund medical plan are not eligible to participate. Participants receive a workbook to help track their smoke-free progress plus a personal health coach to help in understanding the importance of lifestyle changes to reduce disease risks, managing withdrawal symptoms and managing weight and stress. Participants also receive a maximum of $500 per enrollee per plan year for tobacco-cessation products.

The Arizona Smokers’ Helpline is available to help anyone quit for the day and for a lifetime. This website is designed to help users better access tools and services to help them successfully quit.
