Services Covered Under Your Cigna Medical Plan
The following services are covered under the Cigna medical plan for members diagnosed with diabetes when determined to be medically necessary.
- Custom foot orthoses for those with impaired peripheral sensation and/or altered peripheral circulation (e.g. diabetic neuropathy and peripheral vascular disease)
- Routine foot care, including the paring and removing of corns and calluses or trimming of nails
- Annual dilated retinal eye exams
- Glucose monitors, and
- Insulin pumps and cartridges.
The applicable copay (Primary Care, Cigna Care Network, or Non-Cigna Care Network) applies for members enrolled in a Cigna medical plan, except Choice Fund. Choice Fund members must meet their annual deductible and then services are covered at 10% if provided by an in-network provider.
