Diabetic Supplies and Medication Available at Cigna Medical Group (CMG) Pharmacies
A 30-day supply of diabetic medication and supplies (insulin needles and syringes, lancets, and test strips) may be purchased at a CMG pharmacy on an ongoing basis for $10 per prescription if you are enrolled in one of the two Cigna medical plans:
- Cigna Medical Group Plan (HMO)
- Open Access Plus Plan (PPO)
If you are enrolled in the Choice Fund medical plan, you will be charged according to the Choice Fund plan design. For medication, it will be free if listed as a generic or preferred-brand preventive medication on the Cigna Drug List, or it will cost 50% co-insurance if listed as a non-preferred brand preventive medication. For non-preventive medication and supplies, you will pay the full discounted cost which will be applied to your annual deductible, or if your deductible has been met, then the appropriate co-insurance will apply (30% for generics, 40% for preferred brand, or 50% for non-preferred brand, or 10% for supplies).
