Brown Bag Seminars
In 2009, the Air Quality Department initiated a brown bag lunch seminar program to provide an
informal setting where we explore issues of interest to those who must comply with our regulations. Brown bag
seminars are held about every six weeks (July and December will normally not have a brown bag event). Topics
vary and focus on issues both timely and of general interest. Brown bag seminars are now usually held in the morning.
The goal of the program is to offer insights into how issues are interpreted by the department
so that compliance can be more easily achieved. Brown bags are typically held in the department’s office at 1001 N.
Central in the 9th floor classroom and there is no charge to attend.
