Brown Bag Events
In 2009, the Air Quality Department initiated a brown bag lunch seminar program to provide a
semi-formal setting where we explore topical issues of interest to those who must comply with our regulations.
Coordinated by the department’s Ombudsman, brown bag seminars are held about every six weeks (July and December
will normally not have a brown bag event). Topics vary and focus on issues both timely and of general interest.
The goal of the program is to offer insights into how issues are interpreted by the department
so that compliance can be more easily achieved. Brown bags are usually held in the department’s office at 1001 N.
Central in the 9th floor conference room and there is no charge to attend.
