Rule 316 Training

Rule 316 applies to businesses associated with non-metallic mineral mining such as sand and gravel operations, concrete batch and asphaltic batch plants.

Dust Control Training Fees:


Payment must be made before attending the class.Your payment confirmation will be your ticket into the class.

Basic Class $50.00
Comprehensive Class $125.00

Qualifications for Comprehensive Dust Control Training:


Be certified to determine opacity as visible emissions (EPA Method 9).

Be authorized by the owner and/or operator of the facility to have full authority to ensure that fugitive dust control measures are implemented on-site and to conduct routine inspections, recordkeeping, and reporting to ensure that all fugitive dust control measures are installed, maintained, and used in compliance with this rule.


Qualifications for Basic Dust Control Training:


Be a site superintendent, water truck and water pull drivers (Non-Title V and Title V sites subject to Rule 316).


Classroom Info:


9th Floor Classroom: Take the elevator to the 9th floor, make a left, classroom is the second door on left.


Parking Information: PARKING IS LIMITED. PLEASE SHARE A RIDE IF POSSIBLE.


Our office is conveniently located at the Roosevelt and Central Avenue Light Rail station.


If you arrive by car, visitor parking is available on the roof of the parking garage, on either of the two uncovered levels. Please do not park in the visitor parking spaces;

these spaces are limited for 2 hour parking. There is additional on-street parking along 1st Street & Portland Street, to the north and east of the building.
