Rule 310 Training
Maricopa County Rule 310; Section 309 requires that a site superintendent or other designated on-site
representative of the permit holder present on sites that have more than one acre of disturbed surface area shall have successfully
completed the Basic Dust Control Training class, as described in Section 309.1 of the same rule.
Maricopa County Rule 310; Section 309 also requires that all water truck and water-pull drivers at
any site subject to a permit under this rule shall have successfully completed the Basic Dust Control Training class, as described
in Section 309.1 of the same rule.
Maricopa County Rule 310 Section 310.6 requires that any site of five acres or more of disturbed
surface area subject to a permit under this rule shall, at all times during primary dust-generating operations related to the
purposes for which the Dust Control permit was obtained, have on site at least one individual designated by the permit holder
as a Dust Control Coordinator. The Dust Control Coordinator shall have successfully completed the Comprehensive Dust Control
Training class, as described in Section 310.2-310.6 of the same rule.

one week prior to the desired class date, to allow sufficient time for enrollment and billing.Class capacity is 50 attendees. Class schedule
is subject to change, and classes may be added or canceled, as necessary.
All classes are to be held at 1001 N Central Ave, Suite 900, Phoenix 85004. Basic classes are approximately 3 hours in length, with a
class fee of $50. Comprehensive classes are approximately 5.5 hours in length, with a class fee of $125. Credit card payments and company checks will be accepted on-site
on the day of the class, in the first floor lobby from 8am until 8:30am. Checks should be made payable to "Maricopa County Air Quality Department" or "MCAQD". Payments made prior
to the class can be made through our main office or the One Stop Shop. Attendees should allow for up to an additional half hour
beyond the approximated class time. Unless otherwise stated, the class agenda will be as follows (*times are approximate*):
- 08:00am – 08:30am: Registration & Payments in First Floor Lobby
- 08:30am – 11:30am: Basic Dust Control Training
- 11:30am – 12:30pm: Lunch Break for Comprehensive Class Attendees
- 12:30pm – 03:00pm: Comprehensive Dust Control Training

Just east of the building, there is a parking garage. You may park on the roof of the parking garage, on either of the two uncovered levels. Please do not park in the visitor parking spaces; these spaces are limited for 2 hour parking. There is additional on-street parking along 1st Street & Portland Street, to the north and east of the building.
