The Air Quality Department relies on its citizens to help in the regulation of air quality in Maricopa County. If you see anyone violating air quality or dust control standards, please use one of the following options to report a violation:

Violation categories:

• dust from construction, vacant lots or processing plants

• improper gaseous emissions from businesses

• illegal open surface coating/painting

• illegal open burning

• smoking vehicle

Please keep in mind, our jurisdiction covers the Maricopa County area (click here for area map). Any complaints outside of the County boundary should be directed to the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ).
