Lizard Discovery Walks-Trailhead Staging Area- McDowell Park
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
Have you seen the lizard that squirts blood out of its eyes? The Sonoran Desert is home to many different species of beautiful, big, or just plain strange-looking lizards. Join Ranger Amy every Thursday in September for a discovery walk where we’ll learn about the multitude of lizards we have here in our own backyard. Some are venomous; others run with their tails over their backs like a scorpion. Each week, we’ll explore different trails to spy on various species. Meet at the Trailhead Staging Area for this 2 mile, level, flat walk.
