"Desert General Store" Walk - White Tank Mtn.
White Tank Mountains Regional Park
The Sonoran Desert is home to many plants that have been used by people for thousands of years for food, medicine, and other essentials. Some of the products we consume and use even today have ther origins in the desert. Join Ranger Jessica on a short "shopping trip" along the Black Rock Short Loop Trail, a 1/2 mile, barrier-free trail (wheelchair and stroller friendly) to see and learn about some of these fascinating plants. After the walk, we will have the opportunity to try a few samples of food and drink made from Sonoran Desert plants. Please meet at Area 4.

Night Shredders - San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
If you’re looking for an adventure where your trail riding abilities will be challenged, then look no further than Night Shredders. You will be riding the San Tan trails after park hours, which means it’s only the rocks, dips, and turns you’ll navigate through. Our policy, “No Rider Left Behind” means we ride together in a group for safety reasons. It is mandatory to wear a helmet and please bring plenty of water, an extra tube and 2 sources of light; LED rechargeable lights with at least 600 lumen. Why? The desert gets very dark at night. Riders under 18-years of age must complete a Parental Consent form. Hope to see you on the trail soon. Meet at the Flag Pole.
