Early Morning Fitness Hike - White Tank Mtn.
White Tank Mountains Regional Park
Set your alarm and get a great start to your day! Join Ranger Jessica for an early morning fitness hike. Our route will be approximately 4 miles and will encompass portions of several of the park's easy to moderate trails. Maybe we'll get lucky and spot some wildlife! One gallon of water per person is recommended. Please meet in front of the Nature Center.

Interested in archery? Why not give it a try? Participants will experience a fun and safe basic introduction to recreational and international-style target archery. Equipment is provided. This program is open to anyone ages 10 and older. Children must be accompanied by an adult! Please bring water and wear closed-toed shoes. ***Advance registration is required! Reptile Feeding - McDowell
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
Join the staff for an afternoon break and see how our cold-blooded residents eat their monthly meals! Frozen rodent entrees will be served to the critters. Come learn about the important role these creatures play in our dynamic food web. Feeding takes place at the Visitor Center.

Archery "OPEN RANGE"- Cave Creek Regional Park

For those who have successfully completed “Archery 101”, we will open the range for some “practice” time. We will close the range promptly at 2pm. You are welcome to come and go at your leisure during the allotted time. Please be sure to bring your “Archery Card” for verification. This archery program is open to anyone ages 10 and older. Little Explorers: Just For Kids - San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
"Who am I?" Similar to 20-questions, children will ask “Yes” or “No” questions that will provide clues as to which animal they are wearing on their back. From lizards and snakes, to skunks and bobcats, kids will learn how to ask the right questions to help them ID their critter. Meet inside the Nature Center for this unique play on questions for clues.

Sunset Over Spur Cross
Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area
September 13 Saturday 5:00 pm Sunset Over Spur Cross (easy) Come with us on a casual stroll along the Metate Trail as the sun sets over the hills of the conservation area. Late afternoon is a prime time to watch for wildlife and take pictures so bring some binoculars and a camera.

Interested in archery? Curious about how to shoot a bow? Come to Usery Park and find out! You will discover how fun archery really is! Participants will experience a fun and safe introduction to recreational and international-style target archery. Equipment will be provided. This class is open to anyone ages 8 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring water and closed-toe shoes. Meet at the Archery Range. 7:30pm-9:00pm.

Summer Night Ride Series- McDowell Pemberton Trail
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
The summer night mountain bike series will be held on Friday or Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. All riders must have a helmet, a lighting system designed for mountain biking and battery power for 3 hours of riding. Riders must sign-in and sign-out, two hours are allowed to ride the Pemberton Trail. It is highly recommended that you ride this trail in day light before coming out for a night ride. The sign in/out sheets are available at 6:30 for riders who might need extra time in order to be back by 10pm. NO RIDERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO START AFTER 8:00 p.m.
