Rock Art of Spur Cross
Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area
August 30 Saturday 7:00 am Rock Art of Spur Cross (moderate) The petroglyphs found in Spur Cross were created hundreds of years ago by the Hohokam people. Come and walk in their footsteps as we visit a few of the more impressive sites in the park during this two-hour hike. No dogs on this hike please.

Desert Show & Tell - McDowell
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
Ranger Amy will test your desert knowledge! See if you can identify some unique items that are found in the Sonoran Desert. Some of the items you may see often, and some are items you rarely see. This interactive presentation will be fun for the whole family. Program will be held in the air-conditioned Nature Center.

Histroy of Water at Lake Pleasant - Lake Pleasant
Lake Pleasant Regional Park
The ranger will enlighten you about Lake Pleasant and how the entire system of water delivery works. History of water in the area and knowledge about the Central Arizona Project will be included in this one hour presentation. Come learn about this important area of Arizona and how it relates to water delivery.

The sun goes down and the sky grows dark. It’s time for the night shift to go to work! That’s when we get a chance to see who’s out there trying to make a living! Join the Ranger for adventure and fun in the Desert Night! Meet at the Nature Center. Be sure to bring water, a flashlight, and a camera! All ages welcome. No pets, please.
