Fridays Fitness Hike - Wagner Trailhead- McDowell
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
Fridays Fitness Hike – Wagner Trail. Come to one or all of the Fitness Hiking Series, every Friday. We build up to a longer hike at the end of the month. Please wear sturdy shoes & bring plenty of water. Meet at the Wagner Trailhead for this 2 to 2 1/2 hour moderate to difficult hike.

Like to Hike - Estrella
Estrella Mountain Park
Impress your friends! Update your status with pictures from your morning hike. Join Ranger Amy for this morning hike and see how many things there are to “like” about Estrella Park! This moderately-paced social hike will be approximately 2-miles. This will not be an interpretative hike, but we will take breaks for photos so you can “share” with your friends! Please make sure to bring a camera, plenty of water and wear appropriate footwear. Meet at the Horseshoe Trailhead.

Movie Night in the Park: "The Living Desert" - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
Come see the best film ever made about our desert animals! All ages will love this exciting movie on the giant screen inside our air-conditioned Nature Center. You will see desert animals do things you never thought possible – like scorpions dancing! This real-life Disney movie is both educational and highly entertaining. Laughter is guaranteed! As a bonus, watch us feed our snakes after the movie. Feel free to bring snacks and drinks with you (no glass bottles), otherwise, concessions are available inside our Nature Center. NOTE: This program is part of the “County Parks are getting Wet ‘n’ Wild this Summer” promotion. At the end of the program, we will give away a free family four-pack (4 free tickets to the Wet ‘n’ Wild Water Park – a $160 value!!)

San Tan Shredders Mountain Bike Group Night Ride - San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
Join an exciting new mountain bike meet up group at San Tan. Riders of all levels are encouraged to meet at the main trailhead at the designated time. Once everyone has arrived, we will have a brief chat about the latest in mountain biking news and go for a quick warm up ride as a group. Once our muscles are warm we will break up into beginner, intermediate and advanced groups to conquer the amazing trails of San Tan at night. This is an excellent opportunity to learn new skills, meet local riders, exercise, and just have fun. Please bring plenty of water your bike, 2 sources of light, and a helmet.

Night Bugs for Kids at White Tank Park
White Tank Mountains Regional Park
This class will help kids learn about some of the insects that patrol the night skies of the Desert. We will collect and identify bugs using the light-and-sheet collector, then we will identify them. We will also learn about the different categories of insect and what makes a bug, a bug. Limited to 20 participants so you must register ahead. (Each participant must be accompanied by at least one well behaved adult).
