San Tan Shredders Mountain Bike Group - San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
Due to it becoming hotter this time of year, we will starting the mountain bike rides a bit earlier than normal. We hope you can join us again for another exciting mountain bike ride among the beautiful San Tan Mountains. Most group rides are comprised of riders from all various skill levels, ages and fitness levels, but we all share the common interest of riding mountain bikes. "No Rider Left Behind" is our policy, because we ride together in groups based upon your riding levels. This is your opportunity to be around others who are passionate about mountain biking as a sport to have fun. We offer help when needed so you can gain new skills and confidence while on the trails. Come out and enjoy the great views of the San Tan Mountain Regional Park and the quiet get away from the everyday noise. This is a great way to get some exercise, have fun and meet some awesome people. A helmet is mandatory for safety reasons and please bring plenty of water, bike tools, extra inner tube, tire pump and the appropriate riding gear. We will be meeting at the main entrance to the trails just west of the Ranger station. Hope to see you on the trail soon!

Life along the Creek - Spur Cross
Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area
July 26 Saturday 7:00 am Life along the Creek (moderate) Join interpretive ranger Kevin Smith as we look at the plants and animals that live in the riparian area along Cave Creek. The hike will take us through the Jewel of the Creek and along the lower section of the Dragonfly Trail for a distance of approximately 1.5 miles. Some rock-hopping may be required. NOTE: This program is part of the “County Parks are getting Wet ‘n’ Wild this Summer” promotion. At the end of the program, we will give away a free family four-pack (4 free tickets to the Wet ‘n’ Wild Water Park)

Nature Games Day at the Lake Pleasant Visitor Center
Lake Pleasant Regional Park
Stop by the Lake Pleasant Visitor Center and try your hand at a few nature games. Kids and adults will enjoy learning about all sorts of desert animals and plants. Ongoing from 10AM - 5PM.

Sensational Slithering Summer Saturday Series at Estrella Mountain Regional Park

Psst…have you heard the news? The Estrella Mountain Regional Park is getting Wet ‘n’ Wild this Summer! That’s right, at the end of each of the “Sensational Slithering Summer Saturday” programs offered between July 12 and August 9, we’ll be raffling off a family four-pack of Wet ‘n’ Wild tickets. The Sensational Slithering Summer Saturday Series is a self-guided tour where visitors are invited to see the snakes, scorpions, desert tortoise, and nature center displays. The program is offered from 10 to 11 a.m. Individuals who arrive at the nature center by 10:45 a.m. to attend the program are eligible to participate in the 11 a.m. drawing. Each family will receive one (1) ticket per family. The family with the ticket selected, will receive a family four-pack of single day admission tickets to Wet ‘n’ Wild Phoenix. Park admission is $6 per vehicle.

Competitive Track usage ---Vertigo Night Run
White Tank Mountains Regional Park
The Vertigo Night Run, part of the Insomiac Night Running events, will be using the Sonoran Loop Competitive Track Saturday evening July 26th 5pm through Sunday morning Jult 27th until about 8am. The track will be unavailable during this time.

Summer Night Ride Series- Pemberton Trail
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
The summer night mountain bike series will be held on Friday or Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. All riders must have a helmet, a lighting system designed for mountain biking and battery power for 3 hours of riding. Riders must sign-in and sign-out, two hours are allowed to ride the Pemberton Trail. It is highly recommended that you ride this trail in day light before coming out for a night ride. The sign in/out sheets are available at 6:30 for riders who might need extra time in order to be back by 10pm. NO RIDERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO START AFTER 8:00 p.m.
