Fridays Fitness Hike - Tom’s Thumb Trailhead - McDowell
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
Fridays Fitness Hike – Various locations in Park- ALL Fridays Come to one or all of the Fitness Hiking Series, every Friday. We build up to a longer hike at the end of the month. Please wear sturdy shoes & bring plenty of water. This week, meet at 6am at Tom’s Thumb Trailhead (OUTSIDE of Park)- intersection of Dynamite and 128th St (drive South on 128th until you dead end into the parking lot). Call the Park if you need additional directions.

San Tan Mountain Regional Park
Friday Fitness Hike Friday, July 26, 7:30a.m.-9a.m. Health and fitness go together hand and hand, but instead of being in a gym all day, head outside and take pleasure in the scenic beauty of the San Tans. Breathe in the fresh air, take in the sights and enjoy a few fitness facts along the way. On this 2.2-mile fitness hike we will be discussing fun hikes in Arizona. This program is part of a hiking series that will take place on select Friday’s each month with a new fitness facts topic for each hike.

Usery Mountain Regional Park
Monsoons in Arizona? What are they? What causes them? How can we prepare for and stay safe during monsoons? Come learn all about monsoons and the effects they can have on our environment. This “brown-bag it” slide show is presented by Paul Catanzariti, Community Outreach Coordinator for our County Stormwater Quality Program. Location: Nature Center

Scorpion Night Walk - Estrella - Wet 'n' Wild Program!
Estrella Mountain Park
We will set off on an easy trail to look for scorpions on this one-hour night walk. This walk will be fun for all ages as we look for these desert dwellers in their natural habitat. Bring your sense of adventure, water and a black light if you have one. We will meet at the Coldwater Trailhead. NOTE: This program is part of the County Parks are getting Wet 'n' Wild promotion. At the end of the program, we will give away a free family four-pack of tickets to Wet 'n' Wild Water Park!
