Families, are you looking for something cool to do this summer? Grab a mat, pillow, or blanket, and watch a fun movie inside our cool Nature Center! Every Wednesday in July we will feature a different animal movie at 2 pm. These movies are family-friendly and fun for all ages. Concessions will be available for purchase, however you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks – no glass bottles, please. In today’s movie: “The Wild Stallion”, two girls try to save some wild horses living in their area. Will they be able to do it? Come to Usery Park and find out! Location: Nature Center. NOTE: This program is part of the “County Parks are getting Wet ‘n’ Wild this Summer” promotion. Night Shredders - San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
Welcome to the Night Shredders! If you’re like most riders, you've probably had enough of these hot days and no chance to ride during the week before or after work. The great news is we have an option for you. If you would like to try mountain bike riding at night, come on out and we will show you everything you need to know about conquering the trail at night. Biking at night is exciting, different and occasionally a little scary. Using artificial lighting to pick your way through a tight and winding trail can get pretty hairy. Cactus, bushes and trees that you may have seen 30 times before while riding during the day, now have giant menacing shadows and small 3 inch drops that look like a bottomless pit. Our philosophy "No Rider Left Behind” means we ride together in a group for safety reasons. To ride with us, a helmet is mandatory. Please bring plenty of water, an extra tube and 2 sources of light. We meet every Wednesday in front of the flag pole at 8pm. We’ll see you on the trail soon!
