Creature Feature - San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
Sit back, relax and enjoy a cinematic adventure on San Tan’s very own HUGE projector screen. Watch this amazing movie in the cool, air-conditioned nature center surrounded by a friendly collection of desert wildlife. Before the movie starts, be prepared for an amazing animal presentation and chance to meet the cool critters of San Tan. Bring your snacks, blankets and pillows to watch this exciting movie in style.

Matinee Movie! “The County Parks are getting Wet ‘n’ Wild this Summer!”- Cave Creek Regional Park

Bring the kids to the park for some fun at the playground, then bring them inside the “air-conditioned” Nature Center for a fun family friendly feature film and a picnic lunch! You bring the kids and snacks and we’ll provide the entertainment! “The County Parks are getting Wet ‘n’ Wild this Summer!” That means program participants will be eligible to win a 4-pak of tickets to Wet ‘n’ Wild Phoenix! 1. Tickets will be issued one per family. 2. Families can only win one set of 2013 Wet ‘n’ Wild tickets. 3. Visitors must attend the program in full and must be present to win. At the end of the program, the Interpretive Ranger will pull one winning ticket. 4. One 4-pack will be issued per program.

Adult Moonlight Hike at White Tank Park
White Tank Mountains Regional Park
Walking the Black Rock Loop in the moonlight will give you a different perspective on the beauty of the Uplands Desert. We will discuss the unique changes in the desert after the sun sets. Meet at Area 4. No one under 16 years of age invited to this hike. Bring a flashlight, scorpion lights and bug repellent. No dogs please.

Easy Full Moon Hike @ Estrella - Wet 'n' Wild promotion!

Meet at the Nature Center. After our reptiles eat their dinner, we will relocate to the trailhead. Walk will only be about 1-mile, so it will be perfect for the little ones! This program is part of the “County Parks are getting Wet ‘n’ Wild this Summer” promotion. At the end of the program, we will give away a free family four-pack (4 free tickets to the Wet ‘n’ Wild Water Park – a $160 value!!)

McDowell Mountain Regional Park
CANCELLED DUE TO THUNDERSTORMS OVER PARK-- Our next full moon hike is Wednesday, August 21st. Please check out our Facebook page for a picture of the storm!!/mcdowellmtnpark/posts/607741132591925 The Monsoon will be in full-swing in July, and that means it's TOAD SEASON! Join Ranger Amy as we search for desert toads by the light of the full moon on Pemberton Pond at McDowell Mountain Regional Park. The weather will be hot, so bring plenty of water. Rain cancels this program-- if the weather calls for rain, call the park or check here--cancellations will be posted. Flashlights are not necessary, but permitted. Hiking time is 2 hours, and 3 miles. No pets please. Hikes begin at the Trailhead Staging area. Moonlit hike programs are free with $6/vehicle entry to the Park.

Full Moon Hike - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
Join us for this 2-mile hike under the glowing light of the full moon. This is a is a great opportunity to experience sights and sounds of the desert at night! Bring your sense of adventure for this interpretive hike with our park ranger, Ranger B. Please bring a flashlight, water, and closed-toe shoes. No pets, please. Location: Trail Staging Area.

Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area
July 20 Saturday 8:00 pm Moonlight Hike (moderate) The Conservation Area is a different experience when seen softly illuminated by the silver moon. While we will attempt to minimize the use of flashlights, bring one in case you need it. (TONIGHT'S PROGRAM HAS BEEN CANCELLED. RADAR SHOWS A STRONG SYSTEM APPROACHING FROM THE EAST AND THIS MAY BRING STRONG WINDS AND RAIN.)
