AZGF Free Fishing Day - Free Fishing Day Program - Lake Pleasant
Lake Pleasant Regional Park
Have you wanted to try fishing but did not have the equipment or license? Well June 7th is your lucky day, because it is Arizona Game & Fish Department's Free Fishing Day! Lake Pleasant Regional Park is teaming up with AZGF and providing loaner fishing gear, some bait, and some basic instuction to help you have some fun. You do not need a fishing license this day, and you can bring your own gear and bait too. Bring the family and give it a try!

Hohokam Houses - the Ruins of Spur Cross
Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area
June 7 Saturday 7:00 am Ruins of Spur Cross (moderate) Join us for this 2.5 mile hike that will introduce you to the rich archaeological history of the area. See evidence of prehistoric Hohokam dwellings and learn about their culture as we trek on up to one of their mesa-top compounds.

San Tan Shredders Mountain Bike Group - San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
Join us again for another exciting mountain bike ride among the beautiful San Tan Mountains. Most group rides are comprised of riders from all various skill levels, ages and fitness levels, but we all share the common interest of riding mountain bikes. "No Rider Left Behind" is our policy, because we ride together in groups based upon your riding levels. This is your opportunity to be around others who are passionate about mountain biking as a sport to have fun. We offer help when needed so you can gain new skills and confidence while on the trails. Come out and enjoy the great views of the San Tan Mountain Regional Park and the quiet get away from the hassle of everyday noise. This is a great way to get some exercise, have fun and meet some new awesome people. A helmet is required for safety reasons and please bring plenty of water and an extra inner tube in case of a flat. We will be meeting at the main entrance to the trails just West of the Ranger station.

Become a Jr. Ranger - Estrella
Estrella Mountain Park
Bring your kids (most suitable for ages 5-12) out to the park for this “on your own” program. Stop by the Nature Center between 8-10am to pick up the Junior Ranger Booklet. Head outside to complete the required activities and have fun! Return to the Nature Center when you’re finished to pick up the Jr. Ranger badge you earned! You can complete the activities in this program in 1-2 hours. (Please note that the Nature Center closes at 3pm).

Family Movie- Planet Earth: Deserts - White Tank Mtn.
White Tank Mountains Regional Park
Approximately 30% of the Earth's land surface is desert, but not all deserts are the same. Join us in the Nature Center classroom for a showing of this award-winning documentary episode (45 minutes) to see how desert animals around the world adapt to their harsh living conditions. This program is part of the "County Parks are getting Wet 'n' Wild this Summer" promotion. After the program, we will give away a free family four-pack (4 free tickets to the Wet 'n' Wild Water Park - a $160 value!).

Animal Flashlight Walk - San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
We are the nocturnal animals of the desert and we like to hide. Help Ranger Tish find us if you can! If you would like to learn about us and enjoy a night walk in the desert, then join Ranger Tish as she takes you on this exciting 1.3-mile hike along the Littleleaf/Goldmine Trail Trail. Please bring water, a flashlight, and closed-toe shoes. No pets, please. Meet under the Flag Pole.
