Fridays Fitness Hike - Horse Staging Area- *Strenuous* (Escondido Trail) McDowell

Fridays Fitness Hike – Various locations in Park- ALL Fridays Come to one or all of the Fitness Hiking Series, every Friday. We build up to a longer hike at the end of the month. Please wear sturdy shoes & bring plenty of water. Meet at the Horse Staging Area, your first right as you enter the park.

All About Snakes - Usery Park

What makes snakes different from other animals? How do they survive and thrive in the wild? How dangerous are they? What are the different kinds of snakes that are found in this area? If you would like to know the answers to these questions, or any questions you may have about snakes, then this one-hour presentation is for you! Bring your sandwich to the “Brown-Bag It” series inside our Nature Center as Ranger B shares some amazing facts about these slithering serpents. Location: Nature Center.

Sunset Petroglyph Hike - Estrella
Estrella Mountain Park
On this special edition sunset hike, you will see evidence of a past civilization, the Hohokam. The Park Ranger will take you to areas no usually accessible to the public. The trailis easy, but there will be some climbing involed, so be prepared. Hike is 1.5-miles round trip. Bring a flashlight, just in case! Meet at the Horsehoe Trailhead.

The Desert Night - Hike - Cave Creek Regional Park
Cave Creek Regional Park
Grab your flashlights and join the Ranger for adventure as we hike into the desert night! You never know who we will meet after sunset! Be sure to bring your cameras, blacklights, water, and sturdy shoes. Meet at the Nature Center for this exciting excursion!

Stargazing for Everyone -San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
Come watch the sky with us! Look through telescopes (setup for your viewing pleasure) and enjoy a slide presentation under the stars. Learn the names of stars, see the constellations, and listen to stories of the night sky. When visible, view the craters of the moon, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and the rings of Saturn. Bring lawn chairs or blankets for your comfort. Information about the Challenger Learning Center of Arizona will be provided. This is a fun night out! Come alone or bring your entire family or group. We encourage you to bring your binoculars or family telescope and enjoy the views from San Tan Mountain Regional Park.
