The Three Rivers Historical Society is looking for volunteers who would like to assist with the clearing of Salt Cedar at Estrella Mountain Regional Park. Interested parties should meet at Estrella Mountain Regional Park's visitor center on Saturday between 7 - 10 a.m.

Connect with nature in Usery Park’s Nature Center by exploring your breath before a desert hike. Improve your balance for a bike ride through easy-to-learn, fundamental yoga postures. This all-levels class for both beginners and experienced yogis sets the tone for your day of hiking, riding or…yes, even your workday! Please join Inner Vision Yoga and their certified instructors for inspiring yoga every Monday night at 6pm, Tuesday and Thursday at 9am, and Saturday at 8:30am. Memorial Day Weekend BBQ and Fireworks Shows
Adobe Dam Regional Park
Visit Wet ‘n’ Wild Phoenix on Memorial Day weekend for family fun all day and all night long. In addition to our slides and attractions the Park will display fireworks on Saturday and Sunday evenings and host an all-you-can-eat BBQ. The BBQ is served from 7:00pm to 8:30pm in the picnic area and will include grilled BBQ chicken & hot dogs, green salad, western style beans, corn-on-the-cob, sliced seasonal fruit and Coca-Cola beverages. The firework shows is free with park admission and begins at 9:30p.m. BBQ meal tickets are just $9.99 plus tax for all Gold Season Pass and Season Pass holders; $9.99 plus tax for ages 3-11; and $11.99 ages 12+. Tickets are available in advance online at www.wetnwildphoenix.com.

During this special period members of our US military and veterans of the US military and first responders can get in FREE! Plus family members can get in for just $19.99 plus tax for up to six people. Veterans, military and first responders must present a valid government ID or badge to receive their FREE admission and discount tickets. ** ID or badge holder must be present to receive one (1) free admission and up to six (6) discount admissions. Tickets are valid on the day of distribution only. First responders are defined as active duty police, sheriff, highway patrol; active duty firefighters; active duty EMT or paramedics.

There’s a Rattlesnake on my Doorstep!- Win Wet n Wild Tickets! - McDowell Park
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
There’s a Rattlesnake on my doorstep! Life in the Phoenix area means living with rattlesnakes. So, what DO you do if you find one in your yard? What should you do if you or someone you know is bitten? Find out the answers to these questions and more during this indoor Interpretive Program for all ages. We will have live snakes on hand for viewing. Large groups, please rsvp. Program takes place in our Visitor Center. One lucky program attendee (drawn at random) will win a family four pack of Wet n Wild Tickets!

Lake Pleasant Regional Park
PROGRAM FULL - No More sign ups, keep watching for more archery programs in the future - Sign up for this fun "Intro to Archery" program. Learn the basics of archery and practice your skill of the art of international archery. Are you curious as to how it feels to shoot a compound or recurve bow, how about a crossbow? This archery program is open to anyone ages 8 and older. Equipment is provided. Please bring a water bottle and wear closed-toe shoes. Look for the "Archery 101" signs that lead to the group campground area. Registration is required for this program. Call Ranger Terry Gerber at 602-372-7460 x 202 and leave a message with name, phone number, and how many people will be at the Noon program. Limited to 24 people per program. Ranger will return call to confirm.

How dangerous are scorpions? How can we protect ourselves from them? How do they survive and thrive in our desert? If you would like to know the answers to these questions, or any questions you may have about scorpions, then this one-hour presentation is for you! Bring your sandwich to the “Brown-Bag It” series inside our Nature Center as Ranger B shares some amazing facts about these desert dwellers. Location: Nature Center. Watch us feed our snakes after the program at 7:30pm. Then join our “Scorpion Hunt” at 8pm at no extra cost!

Scorpion Hunt - Usery Park

Did you know that scorpions glow in the dark under a blacklight? Join Ranger B as he leads us on this fun and safe night walk to find these elusive desert dwellers (using our eyes only). You will learn cool facts about these amazing creatures and sharpen your spotting skills! All ages will enjoy this casual one-hour/one-mile walk. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring water and a flashlight (blacklights are recommended and are for sale for $10 – batteries and tax included). No pets, please. Location: Trail Staging Area. Join our scorpion program in our Nature Center at 6:30pm, and our snake feeding at 7:30pm at no extra cost!
