Archery 101 a - Cave Creek Regional Park
Cave Creek Regional Park
Interested in archery? Why not give it a try? Participants will experience a fun and safe basic introduction to recreational and international-style target archery. Equipment is provided. This program is open to anyone ages 8 and older. Children must be accompanied by an adult! Please bring water and wear closed-toed shoes. ***Advance registration is required! Bird Walk with Sonoran Audubon Society - Estrella
Estrella Mountain Park
Join knowledgeable guides from the Sonoran Audubon Society for an easy walk to discover the bird life of Estrella Park! When you think about it, everyone is a bird watcher- it's just more fun to know what you are looking at! Meet at the Nature Center. (Rain cancels event)

Hohokam Houses - the Ruins of Spur Cross
Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area
May 10 Saturday 7:00 am Ruins of Spur Cross (moderate) Join us for this 2.5 mile hike that will introduce you to the rich archaeological history of the area. See evidence of prehistoric Hohokam dwellings and learn about their culture as we trek on up to one of their mesa-top compounds.

San Tan Shredders Mountain Bike Group - San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
Join us again for another exciting mountain bike ride among the beautiful San Tan Mountains. Most group rides are comprised of riders from all various skill levels, ages and fitness levels, but we all share the common interest of riding mountain bikes. "No Rider Left Behind" is our policy, because we ride together in groups based upon your riding levels. This is your opportunity to be around others who are passionate about mountain biking as a sport to have fun. We offer help when needed so you can gain new skills and confidence while on the trails. Come out and enjoy the great views of the San Tan Mountain Regional Park and the quiet get away from the hassle of everyday noise. This is a great way to get some exercise, have fun and meet some new awesome people. A helmet is required for safety reasons and please bring plenty of water and an extra inner tube in case of a flat. We will be meeting at the main entrance to the trails just West of the Ranger station.

Participants will experience a fun and safe introduction to recreational and international-style target archery. Equipment will be provided. This class is open to anyone ages 8 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring water, hats, and closed-toe shoes. Meet at the Archery Range. Note: This same class is also offered at 10:30 AM. No registration – just show up and have some fun!

Sonoran Story and Craft Time: Just for Kids - San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
What adventure will you listen to today? Come find out! Sonoran Story-Time is a wonderful way for kids to learn about our amazing desert. We will also have a craft project to do and take home. Bring snacks, water, your imagination, and be ready to have some fun. Meet inside the Nature Center.

Adult Moonlight Hike - White Tank Mtn.
White Tank Mountains Regional Park
Experience White Tank in a different light - moonlight! Join us on a 1 1/2 mile hike to experience the desert at night. Bring a flashlight, your scorpion light, and wear comfortable footwear. No dogs, please. This hike is limited to those 16 and older. Location to be determined. Please call for more information.

Moonlight Hike - San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
Discover the beauty of the Sonoran Desert at night, as we hike under the light from the full moon. Join us for a pristine 2.2-mile stroll along the Stargazer Trail. Listen for the sounds of wildlife and explore the night-life atmosphere. The pace of the hike will be relatively mild or slow to help enjoy the surroundings. Flashlights are welcomed. Meet Ranger Tish at the Flag Pole.

Summer Night Ride Series - Pemberton Trail
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
The first night ride of the 2014 summer season will be Saturday night, May 10th. The other dates for night rides will be May 31st, June 14th & 28th, July 26th, August 9th and 23rd and the final night ride will be September 13th. Only 8 rides this summer down one from last year but they have been great times to ride at cooler times, experience the park at night and see friends and catch up on whats going on. Hope to see you all on the 10th.
