Come meet our resident tortoises, Lily, Lady, McKenzie and Scarlett. Drop in anytime between 8:00 and 8:30am to help Ranger Amy feed them breakfast, in their habitat behind the Visitor Center!
Don’t forget your camera – our tortoises are very photogenic (and they move slowly so you can get great pictures. Meet out back of the Visitor Center. |

This trail is an ideal trail if you are a beginner hiker. We will hike this trail at a comfortable pace to allow us to get some exercise, but also take the time to enjoy the desert around us. Make sure to have water and appropriate footwear. Meet at the Horseshoe Trailhead. |

| This is the time of year we see lots of color in the desert. Come explore with me and let’s see how many different blossoms we can find on this wonderful trail. The Pipeline Canyon Trail is one of the more scenic trails for wildflowers, so hopefully we will see a lot of flowers and plants blooming on this 4 mile hike. Keep your fingers crossed for a good crop of spring flowers, and join me for a fun search for this desert color. Hike Starts at the South Pipeline Canyon Trailhead. Be sure to bring water, although there is water and bathrooms at each end of the trail. |

| This 1-mile hike is designed for parents and grandparents with small children, ages 3 - 6 years old. Along with Miss Lynn, the kids will howl like coyotes, do the “bobcat crawl” and learn how to hydrate by counting gulps of water on their fingers. We will explore the desert along the scenic Merkle Trail. The hard-smooth surface of this trail will accommodate wheelchairs and strollers. Please bring water, hats, and closed-toe shoes. We will experience a bit of elevation and watch the city light up as the sun sets. Bring sturdy shoes, flashlights, water for you and your pets, and leashes are required. | This is one of our premier events at the Park. We will synch up the F 150 horses and give you a ride around part of the Waterfall Canyon Road Loop and then provide you with a campfire and some cowboy music, not to mention the hot chocolate, tea and marshmallows by the fire. Parking is restricted so you may have to walk or be shuttled from the Horse Staging lot. Dress warm. Bring some marshmallow roasting sticks and your singing voice. Area 4.
