Fridays Fitness Hike - North Trailhead- McDowell
McDowell Mountain Regional Park
Fridays Fitness Hike – North Trail. Come to one or all of the Fitness Hiking Series, every Friday. We build up to a longer hike at the end of the month. Please wear sturdy shoes & bring plenty of water. Meet at the North Trailhead for this 1 hour easy hike.

Reach Your Goal Fitness Series - San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
Do you have that goal to get in shape for 2014? Join the Ranger as we help you reach that goal with this bi-weekly fitness hike. We will start out slow and short and increase our distance over the next several months. We will slowly build up to our final hike on April 4th! What better way to get in shape, enjoy the outdoors and meet some great people. Up for the challenge? Make sure you have good hiking shoes and always bring plenty of water. The Ranger will give some tips on clothing and gear at the beginning of the hike. Meet at the Flag Pole.

Hike the Wind Cave Trail - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
Why is the hike up to Wind Cave such a popular hike? Join us and find out! This difficult, 3-mile round-trip hike gains over 800 feet in elevation and presents some of the most spectacular scenery in the Valley! Please bring water, hats, snacks, and closed-toe shoes. Meet at the Wind Cave Trailhead.

Black Rock Archaeology Hike - White Tank Mtn.
White Tank Mountains Regional Park
Join Ranger Jessica, an archaeologist, on a hike back in time. This 1 1/2 mile hike will provide the opportunity to see petroglyphs and learn about the fascinating archaeological history that is all around us. Please meet at Area 4.

Estrella Mountain Park
All picnic ramadas and the grass picnic area loop have been reserved for a special event on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday (2/7, 2/8 and 2/9). Hiking trails and the arena area of the park are still available for normal use.

Sunset Over Spur Cross
Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area
February 7 Friday 4:00 pm Sunset Over Spur Cross (easy) Come with us on a casual stroll along the Metate Trail as the sun sets over the hills of the conservation area. The twilight is a prime time to watch for wildlife and take pictures so bring some binoculars and a camera.

Explore the Clay Mine! - Cave Creek Regional Park
Cave Creek Regional Park
Join us for adventure as we explore the Clay Mine! Inside we’ll discuss the history of this site and learn how its contents were used to “cure what ailed ya”! Bring water, a flashlight, and your camera. No pets, please. Park at the Nature Center and follow the directions at the trailhead kiosk to the “Clay Mine”. This program is in “open house” format so you may participate at your convenience during the scheduled time frame. The last tour is at: 7:30pm.

Movie Night in the Park: "The Wild West - Toughest Desert Animals" - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
This new Nat Geo film showcases some of our unique desert animals. Watch a roadrunner take on a rattlesnake and a group of hawks hunting like a wolf pack! Included is a rarely-seen rattlesnake fight which was filmed at Usery Park. Then watch us feed our snakes after the movie! Feel free to bring snacks and drinks with you (no glass bottles), otherwise, concessions are available. Note: Due to some violent animal scenes, this movie may not be suitable for younger children. Location: Nature Center.
