Desert Photography Walk - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
Want to learn how to take beautiful photos in a desert environment? Whatever your level, this one-mile walk along the Merkle Trail will give you lots of useful tips and techniques! Our instructor, Steven Lewis, has years of experience as a photographer. The Merkle Trail is barrier-free and offers universal access. The hard-smooth surface of this trail will accommodate wheelchairs. Please bring water, hats, and your camera. Location: Area 6.

Find the Ranger - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
This open-house style program features our ranger hiking along the Wind Cave Trail and stopping to talk to park visitors. Our ranger will be available to answer questions about the park, identify desert plants, or even explain which animals call Usery Park “home”. Carry ample water. 9am-11am.

Rock Art of Spur Cross
Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area
December 9 Sunday 9:00 am Rock Art of Spur Cross (moderate) The petroglyphs found in Spur Cross were created hundreds of years ago by the Hohokam people. Come and walk in their footsteps as we visit a few of the more impressive sites in the park during this two-hour hike. No dogs on this hike please.
