Fall Fitness Hikes! - Cave Creek Regional Park
Cave Creek Regional Park
It’s finally time to Fall back into our weekly fitness routines! Now that temperatures are cooler, we will begin a series of short hikes on various trails throughout the park. All hikes will depart from the Nature Center. Dress appropriately including hats. Bring plenty of water!

Usery Mountain Regional Park
Want to get in shape and stay in shape? Want to meet others who want to do the same? Join us for this fun 2-3 mile moderate-pace hike through our scenic desert. Please bring water and closed-toe shoes. Location: Staging Area.

This short walk takes you back in time over 1000 years when the Hohokam people occupied the Valley of the Sun.You will see petroglyphs that give some insight into these ancient people. Meet in area 4 at 9:00am. No dogs please

Thursday Bird Walk - Usery Park
Usery Mountain Regional Park
How do you tell one brown bird from the next and what are the first three items to look for as the little rascal flits off? Are you already a novice but interested in keeping a yearly, state or national bird list? Bird expert, Sandy Hornbaker, will talk about bird habitat, behavior, range, etc. as we go in search of the native birds in this area. Please bring binoculars, water, and closed-toe shoes. See(and taste)some of what people used to eat and to treat illness with before grocery stores came to Phoenix, and find out which ones are still consumed today. Guaranteed to make you think twice about how easy it was to make that Thanksgiving meal. Try a chocolate chip cookie made with mesquite flour, or a cracker with prickly pear jelly, along this easy, 2 mile stroll. Meet at the North Trail Trailhead.

San Tan Shredders Mountain Bike Group - San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
Join an exciting new mountain bike meet up group at San Tan. Riders of all levels are encouraged to meet at the main trailhead at the designated time. Once everyone has arrived, we will have a brief chat about the latest in mountain biking news and go for a quick warm up ride as a group. Once our muscles are warm we will break up into beginner, intermediate and advanced groups to conquer the amazing trails of San Tan. This is an excellent opportunity to learn new skills, meet local riders, exercise, and just have fun. Please bring plenty of water your bike, 2 sources of light, and a helmet.

Join us for this fun 2-mile hike in the dark. This is a great opportunity to experience sights and sounds of the desert at night! Bring your sense of adventure for this interpretive hike with our park ranger, Ranger B. Please bring a flashlight, water, and closed-toe shoes. No pets, please. Location: Staging Area.
