See how fun exercise can be out in the scenic setting of Cave Creek Regional Park. Come to one or all of the Fitness Hikes from now until December. All levels of fitness are welcome. We will set a moderate, steady pace, based on the fitness level of participants. Beginners are welcome. We will bring you throughout a different part of the park each week and total 2.5 to 3.5 miles each week. Meet at the Overton Trailhead. |

| How do you tell one brown bird from the next, and what are the first three items to look for as the little rascal flits off? Are you already a novice but interested in keeping a yearly, state or country bird list? Bird expert, Sandy Hornbaker, will talk about bird habitat, behavior, range, etc. as we go in search of the native birds in this area. Please bring binoculars, water, and closed-toe shoes. | Black Rock Archeology Hike at White Tank Park |
| White Tank Mountains Regional Park |
| This is a 1/2 mile hike on a flat trail to one of the largest and most concentrated collection of Hohokam and Yavapai petroglyphs in the Valley. The hike will discuss history and lifestyles of the early native people of the Valley and try to decipher the meaning of some of the ancient rock art symbols along the trail. No dogs please. There is a lot of science in this hike so it may not be of interest to young children. Area 4. |
