All About Bats - San Tan
San Tan Mountain Regional Park
If you live in Arizona, you have plenty to brag about. For example: Arizona has more species of rattlesnakes than any other state; the most venomous scorpion in North America can be found in, you guessed it, Arizona. And if that’s not enough to get you excited, 28 species of bats call the Grand Canyon State their home, more than almost any other... Is your head dizzy yet? You may be wondering why on earth would there be so many bats and do they really fly into women’s hair only to get tangled up in all that hairspray? While many myths surround these mysterious creatures, what you may not know will surprise you. Meet at the Nature Center followed by our Moonlight Hike at 8pm.
