The Office of Vital Registration may issue certified copies of birth certificates from 1950 to the present. The Office of Vital Registration may issue certified copies of death, fetal death, and certificates of birth resulting in stillbirth for recent events.

Each State maintains its own vital records. If you are looking for a birth or death record from another state, you must contact that state's vital records office. Birth records that occurred in other states are not available from the Maricopa County Office of Vital Registration. Death records that occurred in other counties are not available from Maricopa County Office of Vital Registration.

Marriage and divorce records in Arizona are maintained by the Clerk of the Superior Court in the county where the event occurred. Marriage and divorce records are not available from the Office of Vital Registration.
