When disaster strikes, volunteers always step forward to help in any way they can.

Pre-identified, pre-registered, and pre-trained volunteers are essential to our emergency response because emergency planners will know in advance the number of volunteers available and the volunteers’ specific skills.

Public Health Emergency Management is currently recruiting medical and non-medical volunteers to who will be able to set up and operate “Points of Dispensing” or PODs. PODs will be established in communities to dispense medication or vaccines to the residents of Maricopa County.
