Our meetings are open to everyone. Members have included people with HIV/AIDS, a police officer, a high school student, the director of a program for injecting drug users, men and women involved in HIV/AIDS organizations, and other concerned members of the community. The majority of members are personally or professionally involved in HIV prevention.
Any person attending a meeting is welcome to participate in discussions and activities. However, there are a few guidelines that affect decision making. First, a member must have completed a
membership application. Second, a member must have attended the last two meetings in order to be eligible to participate in the decision making process. Final decisions are made by consensus, so all eligible decision-making members must agree on the outcome.
