What does the group do?
|
The Central AZ HIV Prevention Advocates help the Arizona Department of Health Services plan for HIV prevention services in Maricopa and Pinal counties. The group works on a 5-year planning cycle and makes recommendations to the state on which groups of people should be targeted for HIV Prevention in our community. The group examines data (such as HIV infection rates), information from needs assessments, and community input when determining its recommendations.

No. The Central AZ HIV Prevention Advocates is a planning body. It does not administer any direct client services.
