 Pregnancy Connection
Many women in Maricopa County face challenges that make it difficult to maintain a healthy pregnancy. They may lack the resources to afford proper medical care, or experience social and medical barriers such as domestic violence, substance abuse, and physical or mental illness.
What We Do
The Pregnancy Connection program exists to improve birth and maternal health outcomes through:
- Outreach
- Collaboration
- Education
- Coordination of services
What We Offer
Pregnancy Connection works to improve the health of moms and babies through:
- Prenatal, health, and parenting education
- Case management for high-risk pregnancies
- Linkage to health and social service agencies, including resources such as, but not limited to:
- AHCCCS, including SOBRA and FES, WIC, food banks, food stamps
- Prenatal care, family planning, primary care, dental, nursing, and mental health services
- Domestic violence, substance abuse, and counseling
How to Participate
Pregnancy Connection is a voluntary program for women of childbearing age and their families in Maricopa County. We work with pregnant women and their newborns until 6 weeks after delivery. The program accepts referrals from community providers, medical clinics, schools, and self-referrals (walk-ins are accepted).
