Community Nutrition Programs
School Programs - Through a partnership with the Arizona Nutrition Network,
we provide nutrition education in K-8 classrooms and resources for teachers to
promote healthy eating, in qualifying school districts.
Women Together for Health - Women Together for Health (TFH) is a free
multi-week program aimed to address some of the leading health behaviors that
contribute to chronic disease. WTFH targets women of child-bearing age (18-
44 years old) and covers proper nutrition, healthy weight, physical activity,
stress management, and tobacco use.
Community Events - The Community Nutrition Programs office works with
many other local agencies to provide services at various community outreach
events.
Dietetic Internship - Maricopa County offers a full time, 38 week dietetic internship with an emphasis in community and public health dietetics. Completion of the internship will allow candidates to sit for the registration examination and become a Registered Dietitian.
