Breakdown of Responsibilities
Maricopa County will provide:
- Teacher training Health educator for class visits and technical assistance
- Activity ideas
- All materials for program (student manuals, wall charts, game cards)
- Equipment for class (balls, jump ropes, frisbees, cones)
- Some student incentives
- Conduct post-evaluations with students
Teachers will:
- Attend training, Commit to completion of the Promoting Lifetime Activity for Youth Program
- Implement the Promoting Lifetime Activity for Youth Program according to specified schedule
- Be enthusiastic about physical activity
- Discuss the importance of physical activity with students
- Collect post-evaluations from parents, and attend wrap-up meeting
School Liaisons will:
- Coordinate with the Promoting Lifetime Activity for Youth Program Specialist to schedule training and visits
- Serve as a contact person for your school
