Breakdown of Responsibilities


Maricopa County will provide:

  • Teacher training Health educator for class visits and technical assistance
  • Activity ideas
  • All materials for program (student manuals, wall charts, game cards)
  • Equipment for class (balls, jump ropes, frisbees, cones)
  • Some student incentives
  • Conduct post-evaluations with students
Teachers will:
  • Attend training, Commit to completion of the Promoting Lifetime Activity for Youth Program
  • Implement the Promoting Lifetime Activity for Youth Program according to specified schedule
  • Be enthusiastic about physical activity
  • Discuss the importance of physical activity with students
  • Collect post-evaluations from parents, and attend wrap-up meeting
School Liaisons will:
  • Coordinate with the Promoting Lifetime Activity for Youth Program Specialist to schedule training and visits
  • Serve as a contact person for your school
