Welcome to Community Health
Maricopa County Public Health is committed to prevention of disease that affects all people in our community. We are able to accomplish this through a series of federal and state grants that allow us to manage programs that help in creating positive healthy outcomes in our community.

Programs for Adults, Teens, & Children
We sponsor many programs targeted towards the well-being of adults and children including Together for Health, Healthy Start, The Newborn Intensive Care Program, SafeKids, Promoting Lifetime Activity for Youth, Oral Health, Parent Support Center, Pregnancy Connection, and Well Woman Health Check.

Coalition Building
A healthy community needs healthy moms and kids. We work to create sustainable partnerships between communities, medical providers, and agencies who will work together to promote maternal and child health.

Tobacco Programs
One of the biggest public health issues of the last decade, Maricopa Countys Tobacco Use Prevention Program or MACTUPP works closely within our community to educate kids about the dangers of tobacco and to help users quit the habit.

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and Nutrition
Good energy in = good energy out. Public Healths Office of Nutrition offers many programs to help you understand the importance of good nutrition. One of our largest federally-funded programs is WIC which provides nutrition education and supplemental foods to low-income pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, infants and children until the age of five.
