Breastfeeding Peer Counseling Program

The Breastfeeding Connection

 

The Breastfeeding Connection is a committee comprised of key members from the Peer Counseling Program, WIC, and other Community Nutrition Programs which meets regularly to plan effective ways of integrating the services available to new mothers and families.

 

Mission:

 

Creating a pathway to breastfeeding resources and support by incorporating community services into a powerful connection for pregnant and breastfeeding women.

 

Vision:

 

Working towards normalizing breastfeeding.

 

Goals:

 

  1. Strive towards making all the information about WIC, the BFPCP, and breastfeeding which reaches pregnant and breastfeeding moms consistent and evidence-based.

  2. Develop and maintain community partnerships, through presentation and frequent integration of projects to connect mom to all breastfeeding resources and support.

  3. Promote World Breastfeeding Week to the community to increase breastfeeding awareness.
