Services

The Office of Performance Improvement (OPI) is involved in providing the following services:

• Program Evaluations and Assessments - OPI conducts program evaluations and assessment activities internally for MCDPH programs that aim to enhance service delivery and program functioning. Evaluation support is also provided for task force group activities related to the Community Health Improvement Plan.

• Evidence-Based Practice Promotion - OPI is responsible for promoting the use of evidence-based practices throughout MCDPH, and providing support to programs regarding implementing evidence-based practices.

• Quality Improvement - OPI leads and provides technical support for quality improvement initiatives undertaken by MCDPH programs to improve services.

• Workforce Development and Training - OPI assists with improving workforce development resources and trainings available to MCDPH staff.

• Public Health Accreditation - OPI is tasked with leading and coordinating MCDPH’s application for Public Health Accreditation.
