Adoptions
Adoption fees range from $50 - $150. It allows us to care for and place animals that require special medical care. For more details, go to our
adoption page or call (602) 506-PETS.
Impounds
MCACC takes in well over 55,000 dogs and cats each year. A lost dog with a current license (or cat with an ID tag) has a very good chance of being returned home. If your pet has been lost, please visit one of our centers. You can also visit
www.pets911.com. If your pet is turned into one of our Centers, you will be charged a fee based on the services we provide. Your fee may include impound, boarding, quarantine, or dog license.
Licensing
All dogs need to be licensed in Maricopa County. It also helps to bring your dog back to you if he gets lost. Please see our
licensing section for more information and fees.
Rabies Vaccinations
Vaccines are an extremely important part of keeping your pet healthy. All dogs over the age of three months are required to be vaccinated for rabies and licensed. All cats over the age of four months should be vaccinated against rabies as well. Please see our
vaccination section for more information and to learn more about rabies and what we offer.
Spay/Neuter Programs
MCACC believes strongly in reducing the pet overpopulation problem. We encourage pet owners to spay or neuter their pets to help control this problem. Please see our
Spay/Neuter section for more information on the programs we offer.
Surrendered
MCACC accepts surrendered dogs and cats at our West and East Valley Animal Care Centers by their legal owner. MCACC does not accept owner surrendered animals on Saturdays, Sundays or Mondays
Microchips
MCACC offers microchips for all dogs and cats in Maricopa County. Microchips store owner information. If your dog or cat gets loose, it’s another way to ensure he or she will get returned to you. All lost pets are scanned for a microchip. Unlike a license or id tag, which can fall or be taken off, a microchip is always with your pet.
