Uno por Uno (Spanish for one by one) was designed to reach neighborhoods, serve families, and save animals, one by one. Uno por Uno (UPU) is a pro-active and creative approach to keep the community safe, curb the problem of pet overpopulation, and end the senseless euthanasia of adoptable pets in Maricopa County.

Through this innovative program, MCACC will:

• Increase spay/neuter
• Increase rabies vaccinations
• Increase licensing compliance

Uno por Uno offers free rabies vaccination and spay/neuter clinics in a different community each month.

At UPU events during the 09-10 fiscal year (July 2009 – June 2010) stats are as follows:

• 6,274 Rabies Vaccinations
• 432 Spay/Neuter Surgeries
• 106 Microchips
• 2,089 Licenses Sold
