Prevention and Avoidance
Pet Owners
It is your responsibility to ensure your dog does not bite. Following are some suggestions to help your dog be a good citizen:
- Spay or neuter your dog. It reduces the urge to roam and fight.
- Socialize your dog. Introduce your dog to new people and different social situations.
- Train your dog to be obedient. Attend a training class so you both know what to do.
- Don’t encourage aggressive behavior, even during play.
