| April 2011 | Bronze Knighton Award |  | Association of Local Government Auditors awarded Internal Audit the Bronze for its Vehicle Usage Review. ALGA awarded Internal Audit for its "innovative and high-impact audit report identifying numerous weaknesses and inadequate controls over driver accountability and vehicle management. While the review resulted in 45 separate departmental reports, the primary report was presented in a succinct and accessible style. The report effectively used charts and graphs and was visually enhanced by using Google Maps to identify mileage to calculate fuel usage findings. The recommendations will definitively have an impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of vehicle usage and management." |
