• Does the County give a certain due by date? In other words, you come in and perform an inspection, you have 45 or 60 days to get this done or is it up to the store personnel to inform the inspector we will have this corrected by 30, 45, or 60 days?

  • County inspectors do provide a correct-by date. For critical items not corrected at the time of inspection, establishment is given up to 10 days to correct the violation. Non-critical violations are typically provided up to next routine inspection to make the corrections. Store personnel can call the inspector as the violation is corrected. In that case, county inspector must verify substantial compliance within 30 days of the notice of correction.

• If we need more time is there someone we should call to acquire an extension?

  • Contact your inspector and the date may be set out further.

• What is the best way to inform those, who could not attend the meeting, of what was talked about today? How do they obtain the information about SB1598?

  • You can go to our website to access the bill via a link and we sent the presentation to those who attended the meeting today via email.

• Inspection – Reinspection

• Your Department inspector conducts an inspection and now is it up to store personnel to notify the inspector that they are ready for re-inspection once the violations have been corrected?

  • Yes, you can call the inspector and let him/her know the violations are corrected. If a re-inspection date is set or a correct by date is specified the inspector will be back on that date.
