Help clean our roadways for Earth Month

Earth Month

MCDOT recognizes April as Earth Month in honor of Earth Day on Saturday, April 22 and encourages all county residents to do their part to keep Maricopa County roads and lands beautiful and safe.

For the last four years, MCDOT Adopt a Highway (AAH) Program has honored Earth Month with special clean-up events on County roadways.  Throughout the year, more than 130 AAH groups volunteer to pick up trash and recyclables off of MCDOT’s roadways and their partnership with MCDOT during Earth Month demonstrates an on-going support for the community and environment.

Volunteers for AAH are always needed to help keep our roads safe and free of trash.

For more information on how to join the Adopt a Highway Program, to schedule a clean up, and participate in Earth Month, please contact
