FORMATION AUTHORITY: The Committee was established by the Board of Supervisors on January 20, 1999 in accordance with SB 1427.

COMPOSITION: COMPOSITION: A.R.S. § 49-474.04: “The board of supervisors shall appoint an advisory committee representing the department of transportation, the department of environmental quality and the parties affected by the voluntary vehicle repair and retrofit program, including automobile hobbyists and the automotive aftermarket products industry, to advise and make recommendations on the development and implementation of the program. Members shall be appointed for staggered terms of two years. Initial terms shall be determined by lot.” The Board of Supervisors established the Voluntary Vehicle Repair & Retrofit Advisory Committee with 5 members: one representing the Arizona Department of Transportation, one representing the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, two representing automobile hobbyists and one representing the automotive aftermarket products industry.

DUTIES AND POWERS: The Committee establishes program policies and procedures and may consider requests by the public for inclusion into the program.
